Storytelling is ubiquitous and ambiguous. People love the word, but rarely understand its meaning.

For me, every story begins with why. Cue Simon Sinek’s Golden Circle, where you message from the inside out (Why > How > What). Simply put, it’s the easiest framework from which to build an effective story.

Perhaps it came naturally or perhaps it was learned (probably a mix of both). Either way, I’ve been writing stories my whole life.

Listening for the why

My stories are only as good as my questions—and those require preparation and fierce presence.

I had the privilege of telling many people’s stories over the years. These are just a few.
